Pentecost University College honours Rev Dr Frimpong

The award was in recognition of his ability to combine stewardship with leadership in the oil and gas industry, an industry so fraught with unpredictable challenges and competition. “This gives credence to the string of awards and acknowledgement you and your company FRIMPS Oil Company Limited, have attained over the years,” the citation stated.

The citation accompanying the award read by Rev Dr Peter Ohene Kyei, Rector of PUC, during the University’s seventh congregation on the theme: “A decade of excellence”, said “Your extraordinary leadership led to your company receiving the award of ‘The Oil Marketing Company in Ghana for 2014’ by Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA) agency”. “In 2015, you were awarded by GOGA as an ‘Entrepreneur of the Year. “Furthermore, your impeccable leadership led to your company receiving the award of ‘The Indigenous Company of the Year 2015’ by GOGA. “In spite of your achievements in the oil and gas industry, you considered it expedient to pursue a degree in theology to ground you formidably to perform as a minister of the gospel. In making a choice out of the plethora of options available to you, we are proud to note that PUC became the institution you finally settled on. “As our celebrated alumnus, you have on the occasion of PUC’s 10th Anniversary Fundraising, donated very substantially to support the establishment of a Pharmacy Laboratory. “On behalf of the Council, Management and staff of the PUC, we applaud you and share in your joy of your great achievement. May you continue in all your future endeavors.” An elated Rev Dr Frimpong expressed his gratitude to the leadership of PUC for the honour done him..

The Chief Executive Officer gave an overview of his life story, and further encouraged graduates not to lose hope, but strive for excellence in all their endeavors. “No matter where you come from, you can achieve; and in all you do never rush for money, but let God guide you,” he said.
